"Sore Throat" Free Northern Ontario Fishing

If you have never fished Cameron Lake with Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges, this opportunity is for YOU!

After doing two fishing shows back-to-back, I've lost my voice. But I've got just a little ways to go in order to fill camp for our 2013 Summer season.

So, I'm giving away one Adult fishing trip in a party of 2 or more adults for the week of your choice in 2013, subject to availability.

This offer is for you if:
  • You can bring at least one other paying adult
  • You love to fish the wilds of Northern Ontario
  • You have never fished Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges before
  • You can get a week away during the Summer of 2013
  • You are at least 18 years of age or older.
Your trip includes:
  • Your cabin
  • Boat, motor and all your gas for the week for every two adults (including swivel seats, fish finder, bait bucket and net)
  • All your Canadian sales taxes
  • A mid-week Shore Lunch for you and all our guests at camp.
Your trip does not include:
  • Your Canadian Fishing License
  • Your food (you do all your own cooking--except for the shore lunch mid week)
  • Your transportation to Oba, Ontario.
This give away is on a first-come, first-service basis. Don't dawdle.

Experimental Lakes Area

The Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) is an organization to get behind.

The ELA is facing some challenges, slated for closing this month, March 2013. Many organizations and communities are asking the government to reconsider this closing.

"Since 1968, the ELA, located near Vermilion Bay, has conducted research that has identified environmental problems, provided solutions and guided policy. Researchers at the ELA conducted groundbreaking research on algae blooms and acid rain. Some areas of current research include freshwater aquaculture, endocrine disrupters and mercury levels in fish."

While I have not heard of any runs yet, now is the time to get ready.
  • Are you waders in good shape? No holes or rips to repair?
  • What about your nets? Same question. No holes or rips to repair?
  • Are your lamps and lanterns in good condition? New mantles? New batteries?
  • And do you know your regulations?
Here they are, copied right out of the Ontario 2013 General Fishing Regulations:
