Secret Recipes...
... From A Canadian Fishing Guide.
Feast on your fillets with this excellent recipe book by Darryl Choronzey. Walleye, Perch, Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Lake Trout, Brook Trout, Steelhead, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Panfish, Whitefish, Smelts, Fish Sauces, Soups and Chowders, Smoking, Canning and Pickling. It's all there.
This recipe book is small enough and inexpensive enough to have one for home and one for camp. I even keep one in my fish box, just in case I'm somewhere in between, like on the ice or fishing the far end of a remote lake.

Ontario Free Fishing Weekend
Ontario's Family Free Fishing Weekend is Feb 18 - 20, 2012.
On this family-day weekend, Ontario residents can fish license free. Details can be found at 705-748-6324 and the Family Fishing Weekend website.
Participants fishing without an license must fish under the Conservation fishing license limits.
This is an excellent weekend to give a friend or family member who does not fish an opportunity to explore the sport of ice fishing.
While you are not required to participate in a scheduled event in order to enjoy the license-free weekend, the Ontario Family Fishing Events list will show you what communities are offering special activities in conjunction with Free Fishing Weekend.
Have fun!
